The East Kent Maritime Trust is a Registered Charity (No. 288702), formed in 1983, following an initiative of Thanet District Council, which continues as an important partner and supports their work. Their main aim is to promote and raise awareness of the unparalleled maritime and associated heritage of East Kent. This work is mainly carried out through their Museums but a wide range of other activities - publications, conferences and special events backs this up.
